From the 14th to 16th of October, our Year 6 students went to The Summit, a campsite on 50 acres of rural Gippsland property. Throughout the three-day camp, students faced a series of activities that tested their resilience and encouraged teamwork. Whether tackling high ropes courses or participating in team-building exercises, each student was pushed to discover new strengths and build confidence. Observing them rise to these challenges and grow as individuals was truly inspiring.
The camp experience was not only about adventure but also about personal growth. Watching students support one another, develop leadership skills and deepen their understanding of their God-given potential was a testament to the power of experiential learning. This environment of support and encouragement fostered a strong sense of unity among students, creating memories and enriching friendships.
The Year 6 camp at The Summit was much more than an outdoor excursion; it was a stepping stone towards personal growth and a deeper understanding of community and collaboration. We are proud to see our students embody the values of resilience, confidence and unity, and we look forward to witnessing their continued growth as they finish primary school and transition into secondary school.
