Well, here we are in lockdown 5.0 – we didn’t think we would be here again but as always our wonderful staff, students and parents have managed to adjust amazingly. We are praying it will be only the seven days.
Last week staff had a fruitful and interesting week of professional development. This ranged from guest speakers to child safety to continuous curriculum improvement. These weeks are invaluable for staff to keep learning, be inspired and keep improving education for your children.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch I wanted to mention a group of people who are not often seen or heard who do an amazing job. During the week of professional development for staff, and school holidays for students, the maintenance team were busy beavering away. I wanted to publicly show some of the work to you as parents who have not been able to come onto campus for so long. It also gives me an opportunity to thank the maintenance team for all of the work they do. Our campus looks so beautiful year-round which is always a comment when we do tours and this is largely thanks to the team who keep it this way.
Work has included new motorised blinds in S23 for those Year 8 students who were finding the glare of the sun tricky. But less talk, time for show and tell!
I hope you have an opportunity to share these pictures with your children for when they are able to come back to our lovely environment.
Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
