Competing against 20 Christian schools from across Victoria, our team delivered a dominant performance, finishing in first place with a margin of over 200 points. The squad brought home an impressive 35 medals—11 gold, 15 silver, and 9 bronze.

Several HCC swimmers stood out, with three of our teams earning Age Champion titles:

Under 16 Boys

HCC swimmers didn’t just win—they made history. Gabriel W shattered the Under 15 50m Butterfly record, clocking in at 28.26 seconds. He also set a new benchmark in the 200m Individual Medley with a time of 2:29.33.

In the 21 & Under Mixed 4x50m Freestyle Relay, the team of Norah C, Mia M, Gavin D and Gabriel W, set a new record, finishing in 1:59.31.

Gabriel W’s incredible performance didn’t go unnoticed. With seven gold medals and a total of 120 points, he was crowned King of the Pool, cementing his status as one of the top swimmers of the competition.

This outstanding result was a testament to the dedication and teamwork of every HCC swimmer. Congratulations to all who competed—you have made your school proud!

CSEN Basketball Championship – A Day of Fierce Competition

On 11 March, four HCC teams took on the CSEN Basketball Championship at the State Basketball Centre. Competing against 17 schools, our teams fought hard for top honours.

Senior Boys & Girls battled through tough early matches but finished strong with well-earned wins. Junior Boys dominated their pool with convincing victories but fell short in the semi-final, finishing in 4th place. Junior Girls fought their way to the grand final in a nail-biting contest. Despite leading for most of the match, they narrowly lost in the final three minutes by just five points.

A fantastic effort from all teams—your hard work in preparing for this event was evident on the court!

Volleyball Victoria One Day Cup – Championship Glory

Two HCC teams travelled to Frankston for the Volleyball Victoria One Day Cup, showcasing top-tier skills against strong opposition.

Year 10 Boys (and one girl!) played some exceptional volleyball and finished second in their division. Year 11/12 Boys overcame a slow start but powered through to the final, winning in dramatic fashion—scoring the decisive points with just seconds to spare!

Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding tournament.

Western Rally Day – Table Tennis & Badminton Dominance

On 27 March, six table tennis teams and 10 badminton teams headed to Truganina for a round-robin showdown at Badminton & Table Tennis Connect.

In table tennis, all six HCC teams finished at the top of their pools. Caleb S & Panav S emerged as the ultimate champions, taking home the top prize.

In badminton, the Boys’ and Girls’ Championship teams dominated their competition, winning gold without dropping a single set.

In a hard-fought rally competition, the girls' team put up a valiant fight but fell just short in the final.

Jack B & Ethan T delivered a stellar performance, going on an unstoppable winning streak to claim the pennant.

A massive congratulations to every player who competed in Western Rally Day—your dedication and sportsmanship were truly commendable!

HCC’s athletes continue to make their mark across multiple sports, proving that teamwork, perseverance and passion lead to success. Well done to all involved!
