Trevor Sawyer was nominated to the Board by Hoppers Crossing Uniting Church, and began his service on July 24, 2002. He has served the College for almost 18 years. Over his time, Trevor shared the Vice Chair position with Bob Bjelan for three years between 2006-8 before holding the position of Board Chair for 11 years from 2009 until April 29, 2020. Over those 17 years, the College has built a number of facilities — including the Creative Arts Centre, E, F and A block — embarked on a new campus in Melton, and celebrated 35 years of operation.
