Earlier this term, our Melton Years 10 and 12 students were among the first to experience the new Cyber City program at Ballarat Tech School.
As the program is still in its final stages of development, our students were given exclusive early access to help test the curriculum and provide a real‑world trial of the activities.
The session offered a deep dive into cybersecurity, providing hands-on experience with the ways modern systems can be compromised. Rather than simply discussing theory, students explored how vulnerabilities are identified and exploited within digital infrastructure.
It was an eye-opening day of problem-solving that gave our students a valuable insight into the practical side of systems engineering and digital security.
