Last Thursday, May 16th, I accompanied four students to Wynspeak, a youth public speaking competition for secondary school students in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
Round 5 was held at Bacchus Marsh Grammar, and the following students participated in the competition: Laura C. (Year 11), Michael A. (Year 9), Syrn S. (Year 9), and Aarya P. (Year 8).
Laura, Michael, and Aarya also competed last year. Congratulations to all students, who presented well in both types of speeches – prepared and short notice.
Congratulations to Michael, who won in the Junior Category (Years 7-9) for his prepared speech. He will now compete in the Wynspeak Final on June 7th at Thomas Carr College.
