It’s beginning to look a lot like… Early Start! Our Year 11 students have been diligently working through their end-of-year exams this week. After a well-deserved break over the weekend, they will come back to begin our Early Start program and move into their Year 12 classes.
As our Year 12 Class of 2025 have now begun their external VCE written exams, our Class of 2026 will step up to commence their final year of VCE studies, allowing them to have close to a full calendar year of learning for each Year 12 subject. Using these extra weeks well will give them a head start on key concepts, more opportunities for practice assessments and revision of content, and ensure they are able to make the most of all the weeks of the school year.
In addition, during the last weeks of the school year, we have our Fit2Drive program to prepare them for driving independently, Belonging Day, Choral Comp and extended time with as a cohort to meet with their Year Level Coordinator and begin to develop their goals for the big year ahead.
We want to welcome our Class of 2026 to their new status and encourage them to approach the beginning of this final chapter of school with enthusiasm and determination.
Our Years 7–10 students are finishing off their final assessments and preparing for their own revision week and exams coming up in a couple of weeks. After exams, we will continue with our learning program and students will be engaged in meaningful lessons right up to the end of the school year.
We encourage all students to maintain their attendance to ensure they are not missing academic content, and also to take advantage of the significant cultural and wellbeing programs that are scheduled for this time of the year. We do not fade out the year with time fillers and videos, and parents can be confident that students should be at school and learning throughout all the weeks of term.
For friends and family looking to watch our end-of-year Choral Competition this year, please note that it is scheduled for December 5th, but at an earlier time of day than previous years – 11.30–1pm.
We look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s Thanksgiving Evenings and Graduation on December 2nd at 6.30pm for Years 7–9 and 8pm for Years 10–12.
Here’s to a busy next few weeks and ending the year with intentionality and purpose.
