Last Friday, Years 3-12 students energetically headed to the pool for our annual Swimming Carnival. It was a day marked by remarkable sportsmanship and a healthy dose of House rivalry.
The weather couldn't have been more perfect; with the sun out in full force, it was an ideal day to be in the pool. While the competitive heats saw some fantastic displays of the students’ skills and talents in the pool, outside of the pool students got the chance to show off their other talents and skills in our House games which included the egg and spoon race, Tug of War, three-Legged race and the sack race. These events allowed every student to get involved and contribute to their House’s points for the end of the year.
To celebrate a hard-fought day of racing, the kids especially loved the free swim at the conclusion of the event – a well-deserved reward for their efforts.
Final House Standings:
1st Place: Stanway
2nd Place: Carey
3rd Place: Judson
4th Place: Taylor
Congratulations to Stanway for taking the top spot, and a huge thank you to all the staff and students who made the day such a success and for the parents who came and supported the students.
