Spring in the Air

Amongst the warm and rainy days that we've had so far, we've welcome back a familar face, our Secondary student leaders hosted and guided groups during our Open Day and we participated in an interschool debating competition. Yet, there is much more to come!

Welcome to Term 4!

Spring is certainly in the air with our current mixture of warm days, alongside rainy periods.

At the start of the term, we welcomed Mrs Inge Rossouw back from maternity leave. Mrs Rossouw will be teaching all of our Primary Art Classes in Term 4. Miss Prior will continue to teach all our Secondary Art Classes.

While I am on the topic of our staffing, over recent weeks Senior Staff have been involved in staff selection for 2023. Next year we have three additional classes at the Melton campus. As such, we have been actively seeking educational staff who can support the College, as we endeavour to bring our Christian faith in Jesus into everything we do, including teaching and learning. I certainly look forward to updating you all on our new staff for 2023 in the coming weeks.

On Tuesday we had beautiful weather for our Melton Campus Open Day. Between recess and lunch, visitors enjoyed hearing a little more about the College from Executive Principal Mr Ross Grace, before heading out on a tour around the campus. Our hosts and tour guides for the day were some of our Secondary student leaders.

We certainly have an exciting term ahead us at Heathdale Christian College Melton. As I was writing this entry, we were in the middle of an interschool debating competition occurring on-site in the Auditorium and this Friday, depending on the weather, we have our annual whole campus Cross-Country competition. Next week, our Year 5 and 6 students will be heading to Mill Valley Ranch for a four-day camp and, just to remind us that 2023 will soon be upon us, Melton has the first of our 2023 Prep Orientation Sessions this Thursday.

Please remember that all students are required to have a blue broad-brimmed hat, which must be worn outdoors during Term 4.
