At the end of the Winter Sport rounds for the Werribee Year 6 students, our T-Ball team, Girls Soccer team, and Boys/Mixed Netball teams all advanced to the division finals. The division finals for Girls T-Ball were held in the third week of the holidays. The team competed undefeated through the competition, becoming the Wyndham Division Champions and progressing to the Western Metropolitan Regional Finals in Geelong on the first Friday back of Term 3. Despite their improvement throughout the day, the team lost all three matches against very strong opposition but is eager for a rematch with the boys T-Ball team at school.
The Netball Division Finals were held on the first Tuesday of Term 3 at the Altona Sports Centre. The Boys/Mixed team lost their first two matches but won their third and fourth matches, ultimately finishing as runners-up.
The Girls Soccer team played their division finals on the following day. They had a tough start but improved throughout the day. As the first girls' soccer team to reach the division finals, they should be very proud of their achievements. With only one regular soccer player on the team, their progress and teamwork are a testament to their dedication and effort. Nice work, girls!
