Heavenly Father,
In the shadow of the Easter season, where we remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made on our behalf, we come to You again, inspired by the spirit of remembering sacrifice.
During this ANZAC period, we remember the courageous men and women who gave their lives in wartime. We lift them and their families up to You in prayer. We ask for Your comfort and peace.
Father, please give our military personnel – past, present, and future – Your peace and wisdom in all that they are asked to do. We pray that they can faithfully serve and protect our country according to Your will.
Thank you, Jesus, that You died for us all. You died the death we were destined for, and lived the life that we should live. You are the greatest love that we can know, and You showed this by laying down Your life for us.
Lest we forget the sacrifice You have made and the service and sacrifice of the courageous men and women who have gone before us.
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
