Prayer for Reconciliation

Join us as we pray for reconciliation in our human relationships, particularly with our First Nations brothers and sisters.

“For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!” Romans 5:10

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of You has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave You.” Colossians 3:13

Heavenly Father,

We thank You that You restored the relationship between us and You. We thank You for Your grace and mercy and that You purposely endured the cross to win our salvation. We thank You that You are the God of restoration, forgiveness, peace, love and all things holy.

We pray that You bless and inspire us to be reconciled in all our earthly relationships, particularly with our First Nations brothers and sisters. We ask that wounds would be healed, sins forgiven, for transformation to occur and for all our relationships to flourish.

God, we know that we can’t do this in our own strength. We ask You to help and forgive us when we don’t treat others as You have commanded us to. As you forgive us, help us to forgive those who wrong us and care for those who need love and support. As we are reconciled to You God, may we seek reconciliation in all our human relationships and with the world You created.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
