At Heathdale we are keen to encourage the God-given gifts of our students, therefore our Instrumental Music program offers a number of ways they can explore and/or enhance their musical abilities.
If your child would like to learn an instrument, why not start your child’s musical journey today and enquire about private music lessons in 2024.
Across both campuses we offer tuition in piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, trombone, trumpet, tuba, drums and voice. At Werribee we also offer saxophone, violin and viola.
Please note that, due to the popularity of this program, we may need to place some students on our waitlist, as tutors may not have any availability for their particular instrument with the teaching load they already have.
Heathdale was blessed to have around 60 musically talented students at our Werribee campus, from Year 2 to Year 12, who were part of one or more of our ensembles last year.
With a commitment to weekly morning rehearsals, members of our Concert Band, Beginner Band and String Orchestra were predominately made up of students who have private music tuition through our College program.
These ensembles will be running again at Werribee in 2024 and we are continually seeking new members, so if you have a son or daughter who is having private music tuition external to Heathdale please contact us. We will be looking to introduce similar ensemble opportunities for our Melton students as the campus grows.
In 2024, our Melton campus will be running a College choir and our Werribee campus will also be running a number of choirs in Year 1&2, Year 3&4, Year 5&6 and an auditioned Concert Choir, comprising of students from Years 9 to 12. Rehearsals will occur one lunchtime per week and participants will have the opportunity to perform at numerous events both internally and externally to the College.
