How We Celebrated the Good News at Easter

This Easter, our Heathdale community came together in creative and generous ways to celebrate Christ's sacrifice and resurrection, uniting in fellowship and reflection across both campuses.

In the lead-up to Easter, our Heathdale community came together in joyful and thoughtful ways to reflect on and celebrate the Good News of the Gospel. Across both campuses, students, staff and families engaged in activities that highlighted the true meaning of Easter: Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection.

At our Werribee campus, Primary students took part in the Windows of Easter Challenge, where each class designed a window display illustrating a different part of the Easter story. As students and staff walked through the Primary area, they could witness God’s redemption story unfold through each creative window. College Captains had the difficult task of selecting the winning displays from each year level—congratulations to Prep B, 1A, 2F, 3F, 4D, 5A and 6D for their outstanding work!

Meanwhile, at our Melton campus, families generously contributed to an Easter Food Drive supporting Combined Churches Caring Melton, a local organisation offering emergency food relief and budgeting education. The campus was brought to life with colourful artwork capturing the joy and hope of Easter, and Primary students shared a moving Easter assembly that celebrated Jesus’ resurrection and the life it brings.

Both campuses also hosted early morning Easter Prayer Breakfasts, where students and staff gathered to pray and reflect while enjoying warm hot cross buns.

This season, our community was united in proclaiming the heart of Easter: Jesus is risen! We are grateful for the many ways this truth was lived out and celebrated across our College.
