The Monash Scholars program provides unique opportunities for high-achieving students for personal and academic development in their final years of high school.
The program begins in Year 10 and continues on through the VCE years. Participants are invited to a number of events and activities run by Monash for their Scholars each year, with a commitment of around 20 hours each year.
Combining opportunities to develop academic skills, explore career opportunities and develop their personal aspirations and objectives, students are also able to build social networks with other high-performance students and prepare for university and beyond.
With very limited places available to selected schools, students can only apply if endorsed by their school for a place. Our Careers classes in Year 10 work ensure our students are aware of the various opportunities that are available around the state for student applications, including the Monash Scholars program and University of Melbourne’s Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars program.
This year’s we are very pleased to congratulate Year 10 student Shayna, who has gained acceptance into Monash Scholars, the first student to do so for Heathdale Christian College.
