On Tuesday 28th February, 22x students from Years 4 – 6 competed against the best swimmers in Melton in the MPSSA District Swimming Carnival at Melton Waves. The cool, drizzly conditions didn’t deter our students from getting in the pool and doing their best.
Some stand-out team performances on the day were our U10 Boys and Girls Freestyle relay teams who picked up first and second ribbons respectively. A couple of solo performances of note included Jaycee Tanur (1st Place in U10 Boys Backstroke) and Cody Isaac (2nd Place in U10 Boys Freestyle). Both boys will now go to the next level of competition on March 7th for Division.
Things were capped off nicely with the announcement that Heathdale Melton had finished in 4th place overall – our best finish since our involvement began in 2018!
All-in-all, it was a very successful and enjoyable day for everyone. Thanks to Mrs Pardo for her help on the day, to our parents for your support, and for our students who all gave a great effort.
