From One New Kid to Another

Hello and welcome to all our Melton families, and all our new families, from the new kid on the block!

Welcome back to another school year! I am new here and most of you will not know who I am, so let me introduce myself. My name is Mr. Nick Kopitschinski and I am one of the new Lead Teachers for Prep-9 at Melton. I have been a Christian for 21 years. I teach English, Humanities and Social Sciences. My hobbies are vegetable gardening, basketball and cooking. I am a Western Bulldogs fan and I love my job! So, when I say welcome back to another school year, I really mean it!

I am thrilled to be at Melton this year and it was so exciting to see the students return to school today. I know that Mrs. Harvey was an incredible Principal of Melton and I am sure many of you are wondering what is next. But I am excited to meet you and partner with your family to ensure there is a smooth transition, so please come and introduce yourself to me at any time. I am committed to building on the strong foundations that have been laid to ensure that every student achieves their God-given potential.

I want to extend an extra warm welcome to anyone who is joining the Melton community for the first time this year. What a thrilling occasion to see two new classes of Preppies and many new families join us this morning. Having only been here for a few weeks, I can honestly say that Melton is a kind, loving and thriving community. So, if you haven’t already, I’d encourage you to connect with your child’s homeroom teacher for 2022 and reach out to me if you need support in your arrival to the Melton.

Finally, if you are anxious about anything that is COVID-19 related, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher so we can support you. It has been a very challenging two years for students, parents and guardians so please communicate so we can continue to partner with you to help everyone feel safe. Please do read all of the College’s information and see clarification if needed.
