Well, Term 1 has been quite a hectic one with everyone readjusting to and settling back into the school routine. Nevertheless, we as College Captains have been overwhelmingly impressed with how well everyone’s managed to start the year on such a positive note!
Throughout the term, there have been some awesome and inspiring things that we have been able to do so far, such as year level devotions (which will be continuing into next term as well!), meeting with the Primary and Melton Captains, and being able to get involved with Heathdale’s 40th Anniversary celebration assembly; no doubt we will have many more exciting ways for you all to join us in celebrations throughout the year!
Some other things that we’ve had so far during the year have been the sausage sizzles, where all profits being donated to Rehoboth Children’s home and an Easter Prayer Breakfast for Secondary students. Across Werribee Primary today, there was a Free Dress Day to fundraise for the Red Cross flood relief which was headed up by the Primary Captains and staff.
Additionally, all the Year 12s very much looked forward to getting involved with the TikTok trend, ‘Anything But A School Bag Day' today to celebrate the final day of term!
So, these are just some of the things we’ve been able to get involved in throughout Term 1 of 2022, and as Captains, we are so encouraged and overwhelmed by the immense support from both peers and teachers when it comes to running things in the school community.
We pray that each and every one of you have a safe and relaxing break over the Easter period and we can’t wait to show you some of the exciting things we have in store for Term 2!
