Food insecurity in Australia is a very prevalent issue, with 5% of Australians facing food insecurity and 40% of those facing it at a severe level. In light of the pandemic, this issue has worsened. To help aid this issue, a group of Year 11 students have organised a Christmas Food Drive with the hope to help put food on Victorian's plates this Christmas!
This student-led fundraiser welcomes donations of unopened, non-perishable food and, toiletry and hygiene items, which will be collected from Monday 29th of November to Friday 3rd of December. All donations will be given to FoodBank Victoria, whose mission is to provide good, quality food and essential item relief to Victorians.
Any donations you bring will be greatly appreciated and will help our local community put food on people's plates this Christmas. We thank you for your kindness and generosity during this Christmas season.
There will be three drop off points for donations: outside the Early Learning Centre, the Main Office Carpark and at A42 (next to the Year 12 common room).
