Chloe’s Amazing Success
One of Heathdale’s highly talented pianist, Chloe C in Year 4 at Werribee, competed at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod piano championship competition that was held in August. The majority of the performers had to travel interstate or even to Australia to compete. Chloe received 2nd place. The first place was China and third place was Singapore.
Chloe also competed at the Royal South Street Eisteddfod in July, and received the following results:
- 1st in Classical under 12
- 1st in Piano Solo under 12
- 1st in Australian Composer Solo under 121st in Classical under 10
- 1st in Australian Composer under 10
She also ranked 5th under 16 Piano Chopin Competition. Chloe was the youngest to compete.
2025 Schimmel Pianoforte Competition
A large number of students who learn from Katie Apps at the Melton Campus performed in the Royal South Street Society’s Schimmel Pianoforte Competition. Well done to everyone who participated, and a special mention to Katie Apps for all of her hard work in preparing so many students for this event.

In the instrumental section of the event, several Melton students competed.
Joey A received the 3rd place medal for his saxophone playing and Daniella G received Honourable Mention for her flute playing. An incredible achievement after going against so many different instruments!
