Carey Claims First Place at the Werribee Campus Secondary Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to Carey House for emerging victorious in our Secondary Swimming Carnival, with a remarkable 846 points! Well done to all students who competed and supported their Houses on the day.

On the radiant summer day of February 14, students from Years 7 to 12 descended upon the Werribee outdoor pool, turning it into a sea of excitement, talent and fierce competition. The sun was shining brightly, casting a warm glow on the pool, setting the perfect stage for a day filled with aquatic prowess and spirited camaraderie.

The participants, representing their respective houses, showcased not only their swimming skills but also their unwavering team spirit. The air buzzed with enthusiasm as the swimmers, adorned in their House colours, dived into the crystal-clear waters, leaving ripples of anticipation and excitement in their wake.

As the day unfolded, the competition grew intense with each stroke and every lap. The cheers and encouragement from teammates echoed around the pool, creating a supportive environment that fuelled the determination of every swimmer.

After a day filled with exhilarating races, displays of incredible skill and moments of pure sportsmanship, the final points tally revealed the outstanding performance of each House. Carey House emerged victorious with a remarkable 846 points, showcasing their dominance in the water. Judson claimed a commendable second place with 779 points, closely followed by Stanway with 744 points. Taylor, though trailing slightly, showcased tremendous effort and sportsmanship, finishing with a respectable 706 points.

The Heathdale Werribee Campus Secondary Swimming Carnival was not just a competition; it was a day of building memories, fostering friendships and celebrating the collective spirit of the school community. As the sun set on this memorable day, the echoes of laughter, cheers and the splashes in the pool lingered, leaving a lasting impression of a successful and thrilling Swimming Carnival.
