Congratulations to Asha Surujpal, Class of 2022, for being chosen to be part of the VCE Top Design exhibition at the Melbourne Museum!

Family, teachers and supporters gathered for the special exhibition opening night last Friday and enjoyed seeing 69 amazing design projects from across the state, the finalists from more than 1000 entries.

Asha’s work for VCE Visual Communication Design involved packaging design for a range of beauty products. Part of the design brief included providing design elements for users of the product who are vision impaired.

An innovative range of bottles with both braille and physical aspects that make identification easy for low or no-vision users was the result. Bathed in a brilliant sunny yellow, the whole range celebrated light and was visually appealing for a young, savvy consumer market.

A visual diary of her product design was also on display and with 72 pages of sketches and research represented the many, many hours of dedication that had gone into such a fabulous result.

Congratulations to Mr Harb Chehade, our Year 12 Visual Design teacher, who was there on the night to celebrate Asha’s success.
