We are pleased to announce that after much consideration Mr Iain Belot has been appointed as the Principal of our Melton campus, commencing in 2024.

Thank you for your continued prayers as we sought God’s leading for this significant position. We were searching for a strong Christian leader with significant experience in leadership roles and Secondary education to continue the good foundations already laid here as we look ahead to the establishment of VCE and the continued growth of our Melton community across all year levels.

After beginning his teaching career in Melbourne, Mr Belot has gone on to lead Christian schools in Michigan (USA) and Tasmania as Principal, and currently serves as Head of Teaching & Learning at the Hutchins School in Tasmania. We are thrilled to have a leader with such a diverse range of experience come to Heathdale here at our Melton campus.

Since finalising his appointment, we have had the pleasure of hearing from Iain about this opportunity and his aspirations for our Melton community:

“I am very much looking forward to joining the community of Heathdale Christian College as the next Principal of the Melton Campus. My experience with the College staff, from the receptionists to Executive Principal, Ross Grace, has communicated to me the relational warmth and Godly orientation that exists at the school.

“I am excited to meet students and parents and understand your hopes and aspirations. Working with you to realising these ambitions whether they be grand or humble. I sense a clear mandate for the campus to be an educational community of significant quality and a Christian community of deep substance.

“Making a contribution to that future is, in equal measure, a wonderful opportunity and a tremendous responsibility. I am very much looking forward to meeting you next year. Every blessing in Christ.”

We look forward to Mr Belot joining our College in 2024 and encourage you to pray for a smooth transition for all involved.
