Years 3/4 Soccer Tournament
No doubt inspired by the Socceroos' heroics at the World Cup, our Years 3/4 Boys' and Girls' Soccer teams produced our best result ever at last week's tournament.
After an intensive three-week "training camp" led by Mr Carpen, Mr Williams and Year 6 student Mirable, the teams took to the field against seven other schools eager to showcase their skills.
Our Girls' team won 4 games, drew 2 and lost just 1, finishing an outstanding second overall.
Our Boys' team went undefeated across all 7 games, displaying tremendous teamwork and determination to finish first overall and claim the tournament championship.
Congratulations to all players - we are incredibly proud of the way you represented our school both on and off the field.
Year 6 Winter Lightning Cup
Another big sporting event happened last week with the Year 6 Winter Lightning Cup. We had 5 teams competing over three sports: Netball, AFL and T-Ball.
All teams made the playoffs with our T-Ball & Girls Netball teams going down in the quarters, our AFL team reaching the semis and our Mixed Netball team securing a 3rd place finish. A very strong performance against top quality opposition.
Thank you to our coaches Mrs Lindeque, Mr Novakovic & Mrs Diaz for your hard work throughout the term!
