Father God,
Thank you that You have created this world; You sustain it and will complete Your good purposes for it. Thank you that You have placed us, human beings, on this earth to care for and oversee it, and that you have given us various gifts to serve You and Your world.
Each day, You have set good works for us to do. Help us to be willing to do the good that You have planned for us. Forgive us when we forget about You and work for ourselves and our fame, instead of Yours.
Please work in each Heathdale student, so that they can know what they’re gifted at and how You have made them to flourish and serve. Help them to own and delight in their strengths, not to hide them away. Remind them that they are all gifted differently, and that their diversity of strengths is indeed a good thing! May they be excited to use their gifts, alongside others, knowing that we work best when we work together. Please give them many opportunities for their gifts to emerge and be used.
Jesus, You are our best and final role model. Help us to use our gifts like You did – serving the weak and caring for others, even at cost to Yourself.
