Talented musicians across both our Werribee and Melton Campuses performed at our Annual Music Showcase Evenings earlier this year. The Werribee Event was performed to a full house at the Catalyst Baptist Church, while the Melton Event was performed in the campus Assembly Hall.
The evening at Werribee provided an opportunity for the 292 students involved in the College’s Ensemble and Choir programs to perform. This included:
· Beginner Band
· Concert Band
· String Orchestra
· 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7-9 and Concert Choirs
· Recorder Ensemble
· Worship Band
· Selected soloists from both Primary and Secondary
At Melton, 71 students from both Primary and Secondary gathered to perform a wide range of different pieces of music. This included:
· African Drumming Group
· Year 2 Class Choir
· All of piano tutor, Katie App’s amazing piano students who received a place at the Royal South Street Eisteddfod
· Selected soloists from the Secondary School
· A Harp Solo from Bella Z.
We praise God for the marvellous music making that happens across both campuses! We know that we are truly blessed to have such talented and committed students learning at our school.
Thank you to the instrumental and classroom teachers across both campuses for their enormous contributions to both showcases. In particular Mrs Pullar, Mrs Hernandez, Mr Filip, Mr Salvador and Rhonda from the Werribee Campus, plus Mr Kirkman, Mr Danson and Mrs Katie Apps from the Melton campus.
A special mention to Miss Croxon for all her amazing work behind the scenes and stage to help ensure that the events ran smoothly.
