On Wednesday August 20th, the Years 10 and 11 French students from our Werribee campus visited the French Impressionism exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.
They participated in a workshop to learn more about the impressionist movement, its social context, groundbreaking style and its key artists. The students then enjoyed exploring the exhibition, where they practiced their French by describing artworks by painters such as Monet, Renoir, Pissaro, Van Gogh and Cézanne.
We finished the day in the city, where students had the opportunity to visit some French bakeries for lunch and even try ordering in French! Quelle journée magnifique!
