The Year 3–12 Athletics Carnival for our Melton campus was a joyful celebration of resilience, teamwork and community spirit. Students gave their all—running, cheering and encouraging one another in a way that reflected unity.
Congratulations to Stanway, who placed first on the day, followed by Judson in second, Taylor in third and Carey in fourth. While the competition was close, it was the character shown by students and staff throughout the day that truly stood out.
Highlights included the first-ever Year 12 Run featuring a surprise dinosaur race, which brought laughter and delight across the field. We also witnessed a crowd-favourite karaoke session from Mr Kopitschinski and Ms Hanna, which lifted spirits and united us in joy.
We extend heartfelt thanks to the many parents and families who came to support and encourage our students. Your presence reminded us that school events are not just about results, but about community and connection.
As we reflect on the day, we’re reminded of 1 Corinthians 10:31 — “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” This verse captures what we saw on the field: students striving with excellence, not for personal glory, but as an act of worship and gratitude to the One who gave them their gifts.
The current House Points Tally is as follows:
1. Judson – 32,165
2. Stanway – 28,255
3. Taylor – 26,181
4. Carey – 20,277
We praise God for the opportunity to build a culture where competition and community go hand in hand. We look forward to the next House event as we continue to grow together in faith, courage and service.
