On Tuesday 10th September, Year 8 students explored the Organ Pipes in Keilor North to further their field work skills in Geography.

Students took the opportunity to grow their ability to draw field sketches, investigate their surroundings for flora, fauna and facilities, and evaluate the accessibility and management of the national park.

"Visiting the Organ Pipes National Park was a wonderful opportunity for us to appreciate the beauty of nature and God's creation. It reminded me of Psalms 104:24-25, 'How many are your works Lord! In wisdom you made them all, the earth is full of your creatures.' At the same time, we learnt about geological formations of the Organ Pipes that was formed through volcanic activity! I was in awe as I saw the intricate design of the rocks. We also learnt about the cultural and historical significance it holds for the First Nations People, helping us to respect and understand them better. Overall, the trip was not only educational but meaningful and memorable." Esther H (Year 8)
