From sprints to sponge relays, Werribee students gave it their all in a high-energy day of athletic action and House pride!

A bright, sunny day greeted Werribee students on their Athletics Day, held at the Werribee campus on 14th May. Blessed with perfect weather, the day also ran smoothly, thanks to the superb help from our parents.

The program included traditional athletic events—running events (100m, 200m and 800m races), field events (long jump, triple jump, shot put and discus)—as well as novelty events such as the Water Sponge Relay, Basket Pong and Soccer 8s.

Children had a lot of fun throughout the day, and there were new records set and old ones broken—37 to be exact! Taylor House came in first place, followed by Stanway, Judson and then Carey.

Well done to all the students, and particularly our athletic champions for each age group:

8 Years – Madeline G & Klay B
9 Years – Livia R & Viven O
10 Years – Daniel V.N & Marisa C
11 Years – Mary Jane M & Lucas L
12 Years – Claire D & Ryan D
