Heathdale flower About

Wominjeka to Heathdale Christian College

As a Christian College, we believe that every child is special and unique, with individual characteristics, and born with purpose given by God. This belief is born out of a biblical perspective that God created children unique, gifting them with characteristics and potential. This centrepiece is what forms our Heathdale Distinctive. By providing curricular and co-curricular programs of learning and discovery, we support each of our students to find his or her individual, God-given potential. This is achieved through a partnership with parents and staff as we walk together through the educational years. We welcome you to our College and hope that as you journey through this website you will see that God is central to all we do. The staff and I regard it as an honour and privilege to work with the families of the Heathdale Christian College community.

Acknowledgement of Country

Heathdale Christian College recognises the First Custodians of the lands on which our school stands. Where we live, work and learn. We would like to acknowledge the peoples of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our community is being built. We give thanks to our almighty creator God for their care and stewardship of this land, and pay our respect to their leaders, past, present and emerging. We also pray for ongoing healing in damaged relationships between our indigenous brothers and sisters and all non-indigenous Australians, and seek God’s work of reconciliation in all our human relationships.

Our College is proud to be developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to strengthen relationships, respect and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and with the community. To learn more, visit: reconciliation.org.au/narragunnawali
