Open Day
On Thursday of last week, we held our second Open Day of the year, where some fifty families came to tour the school with a view of joining Heathdale in 2025. It is wonderful to see so much interest from families for a Heathdale Christian College education. Thank you to our student leaders who supported the various tour groups around the campus.
Prep - Year 2 Athletics
Last week we decided to move our P-2 Athletics Day from last Friday to this Tuesday. What a fabulous idea. Last Friday it was wet and windy. Tuesday, the sun was out. The day was a well-organised event full of various running, coordination, and ball activities that the students participated in as small groups. It was great to go around and listen to their experiences. While many of the students were delighted to show me the ribbons and stickers they received for competing, there were also a few "my legs are so tired!" Just a reminder to me that while it is fun to be involved, these sorts of extended sports events can tire our little legs quite quickly. Thank you so much to Mrs Pardo and the Year 6s who were very able assistants, and to our chief organiser, Mr Williams. It was also great to see parents enjoying a bit of spring sunshine and encouraging the children.
End of Term
I do hope all families enjoy the September holiday period. School returns on Monday October 2nd. Please be reminded that hats, of course, are required for all of us onsite when we are outside at recess, lunch, and for sport!
