Employment Opportunities

Heathdale Christian College engages staff that are able to identify with the Christian foundations, ethos and practice of the College.  The College has a zero tolerance of child abuse.  We have established a series of Policies, Procedures and a Code of Conduct for all employees, volunteers and contractors working with our students.  This is aimed to protect children from abuse and embed a culture of child safety in the school environment.

Current Vacancies 

Chinese Teacher

  • Temporary full time until mid 2019

  • Ability to teach the Chinese language to secondary students

  • Work in a caring and professional environment

The College is seeking a temporary full time Chinese Teacher to commence Term 3 2018 and will be responsible for teaching and educating of year 7 to year 12 students. It is essnetial to have a strong knowledge and ability to communicate in the Chinese language but also be able to teach to the College's Chinese Curriculum. The ability to be a VET teach is desirable and would be beneficial.

To be successtion in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Degree in education with experience in teaching Chinese language
  • Strong verbal and written communication in both English and Chinese
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with key stakeholders
  • Desirable to have a TAE qualification through the relevant Vocational Education Teaching (VET)

Teacher - VET Engineering & IT

  •  Permament full time

  • Ability to teach Mechanical and Systems VET Engineering

  • Work in a caring and professional environment

The College is seeking a permanent full time VET Engineering & IT Teacher who will lead, teach and coordinate the College’s VET Engineering Curriculum.

This position is imperative to the College as it provides the opportunity for students to learn from an experienced and professional Teacher to show, support and teach the specific learnings of mechanical and systems engineering.

To be successtion in this role you will need to demonstrate:

  • Degree in Engineering with graduate diploma in teaching and IT, or degree in education with gradate diploma in Engineering and IT
  • Essential to have a TAE qualification through the relevant Vocational Education Teaching Institute (VET)
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience in teaching

We welcome applications for Work Experience / Student Placements in our Primary-Melton ; Junior, Middle or Senior - Werribee sub schools.  We provide a supportive and professional environment for individuals to gain relevant work place knowledge and experience.
