Private Music Program
The College is keen to encourage the musical gifts that God has given our students; therefore we offer the option of private music tuition within our College program for our students.
The program runs throughout the school day, so children are required to be absent from class during their normal school lessons. Teachers endeavour to set lessons at appropriate times for younger students and on a rotating basis for older students, so that academic work is disrupted as little as possible. There can be limitations in this regard as music teachers may only be available on set days.
The College has a number of specialist teachers who assist in providing this program and are given time and space to do so. They are not employed by the College, but all have been interviewed by us to ascertain that they are suitable for the College environment and have a current Working With Children Check.
The agreement to teach a child and the cost of each lesson is made between the parents and the private music teacher. Accounts are prepared by the teacher and forwarded to the parents.
There is the possibility of group lessons, but these are subject to availability.
