Risk & Compliance Manager

Heathdale Christian College (VIC) is a multi-denominational co-educational College in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, which has been partnering with parents for 38 years by providing excellent Christian Education. With two campuses and a combined enrolment base of approximately 1800 students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 (Werribee) and Prep to Year 7 (Melton), we continue to grow.

Heathdale Christian College is currently recruiting for a newly established position of Risk & Compliance Manager to join the College.

The Risk and Compliance Manager position is to provide oversight and advice on the risk, compliance management requirements and responsibilities of the College and on the quality management framework within the College.

Our successful candidate will work closely with Senior Leadership and Managers to strengthen and develop systems and procedures to appropriately manage risk within the College. This person will have the initiative and the skills to have critical conversations and be proactive in their work ethics.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate or have:

· Tertiary qualification in Risk/Compliance within a related discipline

· Practical knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management

· Sound knowledge of current WHS Legislation

· Valid WWCC ‘E’ & Police Check

· First Aid Certificate

· Driver’s License

We have a unique opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic Event & Community Coordinator to join our Community Development Team at Heathdale Christian College, a co-educational dual-campus school.

French or Chinese Teacher

We have an opportunity for a part time Languages teaching who can teach in the languages of either French or Chinese to work in our Secondary school at Werribee campus.

This position requires our teachers to have the ability to effectively teach, engage and educate young people in the specialist area of French or Chinese.

Our Christ-centred education is paramount to growing our vision of the College, as is our desire to provide a deep and rich learning experience for our students.

The college is willing to accept applications of students studying towards a teaching degree who can speak and teach French or Chinese, as we could work towards a permission to teach with VIT with you.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate or have:

· Minimum Degree in Education with experience in teaching French or Chinese
· Strong verbal and written communication skillset
· Valid VIT registration (or PTT)
· Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
· First Aid qualified
· CPR qualified
· Anaphylaxis qualified
