Payroll Officer

Heathdale Christian College is seeking a temporary part-time Payroll Officer for the College.

- Temporary Part Time (5 days per fortnight)

This position will form part of our Finance team and will be responsible for the accurate maintenance, coordination and monitoring of our payroll system. The position will provide effective, efficient and timely payroll functions that meet the needs of the College.

We are looking for someone that has payroll experience and has the ability to complete the College’s fortnightly payroll process, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and correctly. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

- Previous payroll experience maintaining 200+ staff is preferred
- Payroll in a school environment is desirable
- High computer-based efficacy, especially expert knowledge of Excel, including short cut preferences and cell formatting.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillset
- Strong organisational skills
- Valid WWCC ‘E’ & Police Check

Food Technology Aide

Heathdale Christian College is seeking a permanent part-time Food Technology Aide.

The Food Technology Aide is responsible for assisting the Food Technology Teacher/s and department by ensuring the preparation and organisation of ingredients and facilities for each class.
We are looking for someone that has the flexibility to work alongside the school timetable and classes, and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skillsets in order to work effectively with teachers and students.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsets
- Solid organisational skills
- Any past experience in a similar position would be desirable

Learning Enhancement Teacher

Heathdale Christian College is currently recruiting for a Learning Enhancement Teacher for our Melton Campus, to commence in 2020. This is an exciting opportunity to join our College in the Learning Enhancement department.

· Part time position at Melton (.6 FTE)
· Ability to create a positive student culture for deep learning and teaching
· Work in a caring and professional environment

The Learning Enhancement teacher will support the Head of Learning Enhancement (HLE) in promoting and developing differentiated programs to support and extend student learning, and assist home group teachers to implement learning plans to meet the needs of students. They will be an advocate for students with additional needs and ensure appropriate provisions are available as required.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate or have:

- Minimum Degree in Education with specialised experience working with students with additional needs.
- Ability to communicate with clarity and empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold confidentiality in all communication.
- Training in supporting students specifically diagnosed with ASD, dyslexia, severe language disorder, working memory and processing difficulties.
- Continued pursuit of current trends, research and programs.
- Knowledge of classroom practices and pedagogy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillset.
- The ability to work on a flexible basis and to work with various teaching staff and students.

Our College has an exciting new opportunity at our Melton campus as we enter a new phase by beginning Secondary School, with Year 7 in 2020. The Science, Maths & STEM Teacher will be an integral part of the community focusing on the core requirements of Science, Maths & STEM education.
